Happy Privacy Policy
Happy keeps the good stuff close. What you put into Happy stays on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
Effective October 20, 2026
Who we are and what this covers
Cerebra Enterprises provides Happy. This policy covers the Happy iOS app, the happyapp.lol website (including share pages) and Happy support correspondence. Questions? Email corporate@cerebraenterprises.com with “Happy privacy” in the subject.
The short version
- No accounts and no sign-in.
- Your name, interests, memories, photos, videos, notes and plans stay on your iPhone. We never receive them.
- Happy downloads the same public collection of treats, experiences and actions as everyone else. It never sends us your interests or anything that identifies you.
- No ads, no analytics or tracking tools, no selling or sharing of personal information, and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Location, photos, the camera and notifications are optional, and each is used only for what you ask.
What stays on your iPhone
When you set up and use Happy, you may give it a name or nickname, an avatar emoji, a mood check-in, the interests, treat types, experience and action categories, companions and goals you pick, and a time for your daily treat. Happy also remembers what you liked, saved, skipped or asked to see less of and how long you spent on a treat, the actions you completed and any notes with them, the things you are looking forward to and their reminders, and the items you saved. It keeps the memories you add: photos, videos, titles, dates, notes, place names, the names of people you type in, moods and collections.
All of this is stored only in Happy’s storage on your iPhone, including a shared space on the device that lets Happy’s widgets show your content. Happy uses it on your iPhone to choose what to show you, show your countdowns and memories, and schedule your reminders. It is not sent to Cerebra or anyone else. Happy has no cloud sync. Your iPhone’s own backups, such as iCloud Backup if you use it, may include Happy’s data under Apple’s terms.
Downloading treats, experiences and actions
To keep things fresh, Happy downloads a public catalog of content and its images from api.happyapp.lol, a service Cerebra runs on Cloudflare. Everyone receives the same catalog, and Happy picks what to show you on your iPhone. Happy also works offline with content built into the app.
These requests carry the app’s version and build number, plus the technical details every internet request includes, such as your IP address, device and system type, and the time. They do not include your name, interests, memories, location, or any advertising or device identifier. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver the service and protect it from abuse, for example by limiting how fast requests can be made. We may look at short-lived operational logs, such as the address requested, the time, the response status and an approximate country, to keep the service running. We don’t use them to identify or profile anyone. Cloudflare serves requests from data centers around the world, usually near you.
Videos from other media hosts
Some videos and their preview images are streamed directly from third-party media hosts where their creators share them, such as Pexels. When Happy or our website loads one, that host receives the standard request data described above, such as your IP address and device details, and handles it under its own policy (for Pexels, the Pexels privacy policy). Happy sends these hosts nothing else about you.
Location and nearby ideas
Location is optional. Happy asks for it only when you want ideas nearby, for example with “Near me” or “Find nearby.” With your “While Using the App” permission, Happy uses your location on your iPhone to search Apple Maps for places around you. Apple receives the search and the location needed to return results, under Apple’s privacy policy. Happy does not send your location to Cerebra and does not keep a location history. Place names you add to a memory are stored with that memory on your iPhone.
You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Happy. Without location, you can still search for a city or browse ideas you can enjoy anywhere.
Photos, videos and the camera
Happy uses the system photo picker, so it sees only the photos and videos you choose. It copies them into its own storage on your iPhone so your memories keep working even if your library changes. The camera is used only when you choose to capture a moment. If you ask Happy to save something to Photos, it asks for permission to add items only. Happy never uploads your photos or videos.
Reminders and notifications
Happy’s reminders (your daily treat, things coming up, traditions, “on this day” memories, and a heads-up before a free trial ends) are scheduled on your iPhone. Happy does not use a push notification service and sends us no notification token. Change them in Happy’s Profile or in Settings > Notifications > Happy.
Happy+ purchases
Apple handles Happy+ subscriptions and payments, and we never see your payment details. Happy checks your subscription on your iPhone with Apple’s StoreKit and does not send purchase records to us. Apple provides us with sales and subscription reports that don’t include your name or contact details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to your purchase.
Sharing
When you share a treat, experience or action, Happy makes a link such as happyapp.lol/t/… that contains only the public item’s ID, nothing about you. Anyone who opens it sees that public item on our website. When you share a memory or a share card, the iOS share sheet sends exactly what you chose to the app or person you pick, and their terms apply from there. Copies you share or save to Photos live outside Happy and aren’t removed when you delete something in Happy.
This website
Cloudflare hosts happyapp.lol and processes your IP address, the page requested, browser details, the time and security signals to deliver and protect it. The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts and no third-party fonts. Share pages fetch the shared public item from our content service. Their pictures may load from our content service or from the media host that provides them.
Apple diagnostics
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregated usage information under its own practices. We use them only to fix problems and improve Happy.
Support emails
If you email us, we receive your address, your message and anything you attach. We use them to reply and help, and keep correspondence as long as needed for support, security, disputes or legal obligations. Please don’t send private photos unless they’re needed. To ask us to delete your support correspondence, email corporate@cerebraenterprises.com.
Children
Happy is a general-audience app made to be family-friendly. It doesn’t ask for anyone’s age, and it doesn’t collect personal information from children or anyone else: what’s entered stays on the device. Parents can manage purchases and permissions with Apple’s Screen Time and Family Sharing settings.
Your choices and rights
Because your Happy data lives on your iPhone, you are in control. Edit or delete memories, plans and saved items in the app, use Profile > Erase all data, or delete the app to remove everything Happy stored on that iPhone. See Delete your data. You can change permissions at any time in Settings.
We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to its use, or to complain to a data protection authority. The only personal information we hold about you directly is support email you send us. To use these rights, contact corporate@cerebraenterprises.com.
Changes
We’ll update this page when anything changes and show the new effective date. If Happy ever needs to send personal information from your iPhone, we’ll explain it in the app and ask you first.
