What is Happy?

Happy is a little sunshine for every day, built around TEAM: Treats to smile at, Experiences worth trying, small Actions that brighten your day or someone else’s, and Memories to keep and relive. Happy isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about celebrating what’s already good.

Happy+ and the free trial

Happy is free to enjoy every day. Happy+ unlocks more of everything: more treats, more actions, more room for memories and the things you’re looking forward to, plus every reminder and tradition. Eligible new subscribers get 3 days free. If notifications are on, Happy reminds you the day before your free days end. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe, and the full details are in the Terms.

Cancel or change your plan

On your iPhone, open Settings > Apple Account (tap your name) > Subscriptions and choose Happy. You can also get there from Happy’s Profile > Manage subscription. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current period ends. Happy+ keeps working until the end of the time you’ve paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Restore purchases

New iPhone or reinstalled Happy? Open Profile > Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account you subscribed with. If it still doesn’t show up, check that the subscription is active in Settings > Apple Account (tap your name) > Subscriptions.

Refunds

Apple handles payments and refunds for App Store purchases. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Notifications

Pick when your daily treat arrives and which reminders you’d like in Happy’s Profile. If reminders don’t appear, check Settings > Notifications > Happy, and any Focus or notification summary settings. Happy’s reminders are scheduled on your iPhone, so they work even without an internet connection.

Location and “Near me”

Location is optional. When you ask for ideas nearby, Happy uses your location on your iPhone to search Apple Maps, and never sends it to us. To turn it on or off, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Happy. Without it, you can search for a city or browse ideas you can enjoy anywhere.

Where are my memories stored?

Only on your iPhone, inside Happy. They are not stored in the cloud or on our servers. That means deleting the Happy app deletes your memories, including the photos and videos you added to them, so save favorites to Photos first if you want to keep a copy. Your iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) include Happy’s data, and restoring a backup or moving to a new iPhone with Quick Start usually brings your memories along.

Share links

Links like happyapp.lol/t/… open the shared treat, experience or action. They contain only the item’s ID, nothing about you. With Happy installed, the link opens right in the app.

Something isn’t loading

Happy works offline with a starter set of good things. New treats, videos and pictures need an internet connection, so check your connection and try again in a moment. Updating to the latest version of Happy from the App Store helps too.
